Tell Someone

A Simple 6 Week Evangelism Class
Steve Huff Kevin Gerrior and Paul Blend

Starting Sunday 9 am
Mount Zion Church
Chapel Room 2
428 Shepherd Road Xenia, Ohio

The class is onsite (1 hour a week) and has a mobile component to it as well. Over 42 days (6 weeks) we will coach you up and mobilize, mentor and equip youYou will also be “dripped” a text each day that will have motivation, inspiration, information and application. This will entail an investment of 1-3 minutes of your time daily.

A Personal Why
This class has been on my heart to do.
I drive for Uber on the side (given over 4,000 rides) and I leave a few Daily Bread Devotionals in the back seat to stoke the conversation. I have met people from 73 of the 193 countries in Greene, Warren and Montgomery counties.

My number 1 question is what do you do for a living and in many conversations it evolved to “so what do you believe.”
I quickly learned that I was not equipped as much as I should have been.
I have used the ABC’s as a tool but there is so much more to it.

The God Why
We are to share the good news and God gives the increase

As a Christian, you have been called by God to lead others to Jesus Christ.

The New Testament urges believers to speak the gospel clearly, fearlessly, graciously, and respectfully whenever an opportunity presents itself (see Colossians 4:2-6, Ephesians 6:19-20, and 1 Peter 3:15)

But many Christians have some uncertainty about how to effectively share the gospel.

How can you articulate your faith in Jesus in a manner that conveys hope, love, and peace?

Through The Tell Someone Bible Study

Harvest Ministries is committed to helping people Know God and Make Him Known

Tell Someone—taught by pastor, author, and evangelist Greg Laurie. Pastor Greg was my pastor when I lived in California over 20 years ago. He has a heart for teaching and preaching one on one and recently he preached at Texas Stadium to an overflow crowd of 80,000 people. He has also developed many sermon outlines and culturally relevant anecdotes and stories to assist Billy Graham in how to reach the younger generation with the unchanging power of God.

You will not only learn the importance of sharing your faith, but how to do it with confidence and tact.

Through the practical, biblical principles taught in the Tell Someone course, you will be:

Encouraged in your walk with Christ
Challenged in how you view those who don’t know Jesus
Inspired to live out the Great Commission
Equipped to effectively go and tell someone about Jesus

Week 1
Session 1: Why Share the Gospel?

“God doesn’t give us the truth of the gospel to hoard; He gives it to us to share.” —Greg Laurie

Class Introductions
You will get a short daily text with information, inspiration and application

Each week you will be delivered a “gamified quiz to test your knowledge.”
The greatest prize is to share the gospel but I will be giving out a few prizes like pocket protectors, metric rulers and winterized bibles.

Session 1

God has commissioned us as believers to go into the world and preach the gospel.
Most believers are not actively pursuing this commission.
God qualifies those whom He calls to service.
Surprisingly, sharing the gospel can be fun and exciting.
Effective sharing begins with genuine concern for nonbelievers.

Memory Verse
Below is the memory verse

“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” —Matthew 28:19 NKJV
